Try These 7 Activities For Adults At Disney World Because You Deserve It
If you're going to Walt Disney World for an adults-only trip (Shameless Book Con!) or just need to leave the kids with a sitter for a break, try out some of these fun and exciting tips. You never know what might become your new favorite Disney experience. We'll be checking out a few ourselves!
There are lots of things to do besides see princesses, ride Space Mountain, and eat Mickey-shaped treats all day long. (Not that’s there’s anything wrong with those!) However, for adults, there's still quite a bit to do. While some ideas could require an extra charge, they are sure to be worth it; especially when you only have yourself to move throughout the parks.
Put on your Mickey Ears, and make your plans! Here are a few ideas for what to do at Disney World as adults:
Hang Out at Disney Springs Late Night
Disney Springs has done some major upgrading to its nighttime entertainment. There are lots of restaurants with late-night menus, and a few restaurants that also provide live entertainment after dark.
Morimoto Asia has a fantastic late-night menu with a variety of small plates and drinks. If you’re looking for entertainment or a musical vibe, nearby steampunk restaurant, The Edison, is the place to be with a live band and lots of adult-only entertainment throughout the night. (The Edison does have a cover charge and dress code on select nights after 10 p.m.)
Drink Around the World
Drinking around the world at Epcot has become a bit of a game and a challenge for adults 21 and over. (A ticket to the park is required and drinks are at your own cost.) The goal: have an alcoholic drink in each of the countries in World Showcase during your visit! In clockwise order from Future World, that's Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, USA, Japan, Morocco, France, UK, and Canada.
It’s a fantastic idea if you’re with a larger group of adult friends or family. Money-saving tip: share a drink between a few people and hit more countries before you would be over the acceptable limit for a theme park. We're pretty sure 11 drinks in one day would knock you over... Disney security is very vigilant about public intoxication, so watch your intake.

Take a Behind-the-Scenes Guided Tour (Yes, please!)
Disney has a wide variety of guided tours to choose from and they can fit just about any budget. I personally had no idea about these tours and can’t wait to set one up!
Suppose you had an interest in trains… There's a tour for that at Magic Kingdom!
Maybe you’re an avid gardener… There's a garden tour at Epcot!
Maybe you adore elephants… There's an animal tour at Animal Kingdom!
Check out the list of available tours on the Disney World website, sign up, and you're ready to go!
Enjoy the Fine Art of Fine Dining
There are so many amazing dinner options in Disney. You can get a burger or plate of chicken fingers just about anywhere, but there are also may fine dining establishments, called Signature Dining. Most have a dress code and require a reservation, so do your research ahead of your visit.
If you love dining with a view, you should check out California Grill at The Contemporary. It’s is a one-of-a-kind experience with some of the best food in Disney. Make your reservations during Magic Kingdom's fireworks for an extra special show!
If you want something with a little more flair and adventure, Jiko – The Cooking Place at Animal Kingdom Lodge might be the perfect dining experience for you.
If you really want to go all out and have a top-level FINE dining experience, Victoria and Albert's at the Grand Floridian which has been a AAA Five-Diamond Award-winner every year since 2000. Oh, yeah, it's Fancy with a capital F.

Hang Out at a Dueling Piano Bar
Yes, Disney has a dueling piano bar, and yes, it's awesome! Jellyrolls is located at Disney's BoardWalk, and it’s a great place to hang out after dinner or a long day in the parks. You must be 21 or over to enter, and doors open at 7:00 p.m. and music starts promptly at 8:00 p.m. There is a cover charge, so be prepared for that. Just like most dueling piano bars, they’ll play just about anything, and the players are super entertainers. Have a good tip ready if you want to hear your song request!
Take a Fireworks Cruise
If you're looking for something aesthetically pleasing or a bit romantic, you can book a fireworks boat cruise from one of the Magic Kingdom Resorts. Take a private boat out on the Seven Seas Lagoon and watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks show from a hidden spot that very few people ever get to experience.

Have a Spa Day with Your Tribe!
There is a slew of full-service spas at Disney World, and none of them are less than incredible. Reservations are highly advised, but not always absolutely needed. Treat yourself and your ladies to a day of pampering. You deserve it!
No matter how you do Disney, you'll have a blast! We're up for anything after Shameless Book Con 2020!
